New Zuda is out. Always fun looking at the previews thumbnails for 10 new comics. Lets see what we got.

First one Polar Nightmare. Two kids off to find Santa and it appears that the Church Lady was right about this guy. This is not Amancay Nahuelpan’s first entry. He has also written and illustrated Hijos de P and Clandestino, both finishing fourth. The latest leaves us with two children standing before strippers and a Santa you’d drop a brown load in your pants had you ever crossed him as a kid. As each of the previous entries the art is amazing. Think he needs a co-writer to get him past fourth place. |
| Next up ShockPopTerror! This one has everything I love, boobs and swamp monsters. For no reason, other than because those things are cool. Great opening page, I like the texture throughout.
Six pages into it and what the f is going on here? The Zudist don’t seem to be going for revenge themes and pin up girls. Incarna finished ninth and it was coherent. |
| Blitz is well drawn and cute. Alien looking for his mother and the underdog dish washer is going to help him find her on the black market. |
| Doc Monster is 1950’s creature noir. This could be a thinly guised rip of superman and every 1950’s monster movie or it could really go places. It needs the votes if we’re ever to know. |
Of what I’ve seen so far, I’ll throw my vote to Doc Monster.
